Chair of the panel Pioneers or Playing it Safe?

Suzanne Kavanagh is Partnership Manager at Skillset, where she works with the publishing industry to identify and address critical skills issues particularly around digital innovation. She is a qualified direct marketer with nearly 20 years’ experience in a range of roles at Routledge, Taylor & Francis and Continuum. Prior to her current job, she ran a consultancy working with clients including Verso, Palgrave and Nelson Croom and was visiting lecturer on City University’s Publishing Studies MA. Her current obsession is updating the national occupational standards for publishing to incorporate digital and journals. She has also set up the hyper-local website South Croxted.
